Beachstay Matapouri offers a high quality and standard of accommodation that combines the best features of fully self contained motel style units blended with that of bed and breakfast facilities. The 2 Bedroom Apartment and the 2 Bedroom Cottage are situated very close, just a few minutes walk to Matapouri Beach, which is three hours drive north of Auckland.

Your Hosts:  Barbara & Phil Massicks reside on site in the new expansive two level home, built in 2007. The 2 Bedroom Apartment being a private lower level of there dwelling. The 2 Bedroom Cottage is located at the rear of the new dwelling.  Barbara & Phil will ensure your stay will be enjoyable, relaxing, comfortable and private.

Stay at Beachstay Matapouri either on the way to or returning from the Bay of Islands. Stay with us because of our location and what Tutukaka has to offer in recreational scuba diving as well as saltwater sport and deep sea fishing and angling.

Beachstay Matapouri has two fully self contained accommodation units; both the Apartment and the Cottage have 2 bedrooms.  Breakfast Provisions are available on request. (We appreciate a little advance notice). There are also some great restaurants only 7 minutes drive away.

Tutukaka Harbour is the main launching place for all game fishing, sport fishing and scuba diving experiences in the surrounding waters. These waters have established a world wide reputation and offers water sports at there best as well as a location to relax.

The Poor Knights Islands are classed as one of the top ten dive locations in the world and is one of the oldest Marine Reserves in New Zealand. For those who wish to explore on dry land, the many close beaches offer the variety of options from surf to quiet secluded bays lined with Pohutukawa trees and golden sands to relax on.

Matapouri Bay is stunning and remote, capturing the essence of coastal New Zealand. With a myriad of water based activities at your doorstep, sandy beaches and a lush subtropical climate, Matapouri is a year round playground. Perfect for romantic breaks or action packed adventures.

Matapouri is accessible by a mere 35 minute flight from Auckland to Whangarei and a 35 minute picturesque drive through gently rolling farmlands framed by stone fences and tranquil, native forest.
